Als künstlerischer Leiter der Kunsthalle Krems setze ich meinen Schwerpunkt auf die moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst und entwickle sehr gerne Projekte mit aktuellen Künstler:innen wie eben auch mit Thomas J Price. Der britische Künstler ist vor allem für seine monumentalen Bronzeskulpturen im öffentlichen Raum bekannt – Neopop-klassizistische Figuren im Spannungsfeld zwischen Alltag und klassischer Kunst von der Antike üder die Renaissance bis in die klassische Moderne. Es sind Kritiken an das westlich-weiße heroische Denkmal: Ordinary People im legeren Habit und mit Smartphone als Attribut, mit der digitalen virtuellen Welt verbunden.

As artistic director of the Kunsthalle Krems, I focus on modern and contemporary art and enjoy developing projects with current artists such as Thomas J Price. The British artist is best known for his monumental bronze sculptures in public spaces – neo-classical figures in the field of tension between everyday life and classical art from antiquity through the Renaissance to classical modernism. They are critiques of the western-white heroic monument: ordinary people in casual habits and with smartphones as an attribute, connected to the digital virtual world.

În calitate de director artistic al Kunsthalle Krems, îmi concentrez atenția pe arta modernă și contemporană și îmi place să dezvolt proiecte cu artiști contemporani de actualitate, cum ar fi Thomas J.
